Christy Janisse - Award Winning Author

Christy Janisse has been writing since the age of 13. Her first poem, "13" won the Silver Pen award from International Poetry Assoc.. At 16, she began writing longer pieces, though the early text was simply written as fantasy about her favorite pop band, Duran Duran, and only as self entertainment.  Years later, after 9/11 forced the down turn of the travel industry, her dreams to write were rekindled.

Now, a member of Romance Writers of America, the West Houston chapter of RWA, and the online FF&P chapter, she is pursuing her writing career. Currently the newletter editor for WHRWA, she divides her time between writing, raising two amazingly active boys, and helping her husband with his work.  Oh yeah, and baking deliciously beautiful cakes... see her cake website at www.cakesbychristy.com
